Binder Products opened it's doors in June of 2001. I started in the industry in the mid 90's working for a small import company importing & distributing plastic binding combs, small manual punch/bind machines & related products. You may recognize the name 'tahsin' in some of your local office stores or other larger dealers. Working for them gave me a brief knowledge of the punch and bind machine industry. My experience with this company helped lay a good foundation for my knowledge in this field. Specifically, one of the more influential people in my life was my former boss, now deceased, Mr. Kunio Kodaka. He can be found in the list of who's who in American business. As a very shrewd business man he really helped develop some of my toughness & better business practices. At the time he was a thorn (scratch that, a very sharp branch) in my side but in retrospect I'm extremely greatful for my time spent under his supervision. He was tough as nails but it's only proved to serve me very well.
After a few years I had the opportunity to work for GBC (general binding corporation). With a much broader product offering & leading the market in the document finishing industry my experience with GBC taught me quite a bit about the corporate & print market. I learned some valuable things while working for GBC. They're the market leader, the most recognized brand in our field, they charge the highest prices, they have the most customers & they make the most money. And everybody else is giving everything away for free, fighting for the crumbs (as evidenced by internet low ball prices).
From GBC I went to Spiral for a short time. Things didn't work out as expected. Then I decided it was time to start my own company. It made us a bit nervous, but my wife was supportive & believed in me & we gave it the ol' heeve ho'. It's years down the road now & thanks to God, our loyal customers and suppliers we've been able to do very well. With constant efforts to maintain our customer base, product offerings & new customers we're excited about the future.
Our sales & warehousing is located primarily in Southern California with a few other distribution outlets on the East Coast as well. We use factory trained technicians and professionals within the industry for all of our equipment support & servicing. It's our hope that you will consider our company as one of your vendors.
